WAGSUP Dovercourt

I moved to Toronto in July 2021 and have been taking my pup to get groomed here ever since!! She is a golden doodle, and if you have a doodle you know that finding a good groomer can be challenging. But she always looks SO cute after her cut at Wagsup and the staff is so kind. My pup is a little anxious but the team is always very sweet to her and I know she is in good hands at Wagsup. Highly recommend!!

I recently adopted my dog, Beans, and even though I had done my best to give him baths, trim his nails, clean his ears etc., he was still very much in need of professional care to get him to baseline cleanliness. WAGSUP honestly exceeded my expectations. It's now three days after his appointment and I can't stop sniffing him... he smells lovely. I'd eat soup out of his ears they are so clean. I love looking at his paws now that I can see them properly with all the extra hair out of the way. He has skin issues (sensitivities, dryness) that were accommodated with a special shampoo - when I picked him up it looked and felt much better. Also, he used his chew toys for the FIRST TIME EVER since we adopted him (a little over a month ago) when he got home after his appointment. It could be a coincidence, but I have an inkling that the teeth brushing made him more comfortable and therefore able to engage with his toys (his teeth, like the rest of him, were in rough shape when we got him... his gums would even bleed at times). Most importantly, when I came to pick him up he was in no rush to leave. The staff at WAGSUP made him feel comfortable, and he was content to keep getting pets from them before we left :') We bought a nice treat after as well that he enjoyed in the car on the way home. We brought our puppy here for his first cut. It’s pricey compared to other groomers we researched but we wanted to invest in a good groomer so he had the most positive experience. As much as we tried preparing him beforehand by desensitizing him with us shaving him/touching his face, we were told he was stressed and anxious. A part of that is our fault since we popped in mid appointment and he had heard us and went crazy while getting groomed. The staff recommended giving him extra treats and love to help him, which we will be doing. Despite this, we are still giving them 5 stars for the incredible cut they accomplished, especially with a hyper puppy. They are so talented and they completely transformed our scraggly puppy into this super cute fluffy teddy bear. We went with groomer Kay and they are incredible skilled. Thank you wagsup!

Our dog got sprayed by a skunk and we had to take him for an emergency bath. They were a complete life saver by taking him without an appointment and I could have not asked for a better service. Everyone was extremely friendly, beyond professional, and my dog did not seem traumatized at all, which seems to have happened at other groomers. He was very happy and not a trace of skunk left on him! Thank you so much for an incredible service, WAGSUP! We'll be definitely coming back.

Really disappointed! We came in multiple times with our dog since she's a puppy and were happy with the result as she looked nice, but this last time, instead of taking the time to brush her properly, they just shaved my 11 month-old dog.. the BIG ISSUE is that she's half husky.. I've learned after that husky should NEVER be shaved.. I would have loved to know that in advance so I could have said no.. So be careful, their advices are not made regarding your doggy's breed or situation, they are made on their opinion of cuteness (they shaved all my dog's body as they said it will look better.. she definitely didn't needed that.. we are already brushing her everyday, and yes she had some matted area, but not everywhere..) and whatever other business reasons.. We definitely won't come back, and just have to hope my dog won't get health issue after their HUGE MISTAKE! (pictures before/after)

I take my puppy to WAGSUP Dovercourt since her first groom. She’s shy but the receptionist and the groomers take care of her very well and their work is amazing too! Edit: loved it here before but they recently changed the groomer a few times without telling me saying the groomer I chose had an emergency. I figured out because I asked, otherwise they wouldn’t tell me. I always choose the groomer because I liked her work, but It looked like they had short in groomers on that days as a result and the style of my dog was not as good as before. I might change where to go.
